From the recording 4. Butterfly's Release

In the case of this song, I may have been influenced by Glen Hansard's music in the movie "Once". I think that this particular song has a style that is reminiscent of some of his songs.

BUTTERFLY'S RELEASE

I'm alone as I can be.
Your single tear has decimated me.
Nowhere now to go but down.
Hear the waves crashing sound.

And I wonder where loves goes,
With the seagulls flying high.
And I wonder how love froze,
With the sun still in the sky.

A single tear falls down your cheek,
Hits the ground and starts to seek,
The other drops that make the mist,
Ocean spray that kissed your wrist.

And I wonder where loves hides,
When the rose is turned aside.
And I wonder how love ceased,
With the butterfly's release.

Sun is setting. Soon your face,
Features darkness will erase.
Footprints on the sands that stay,
Ocean tides will wash away.

And I wonder where loves hides,
When the rose is turned aside.
And I wonder how love ceased,
With the butterfly's release.

And I wonder how love ceased,
With the butterfly's release.
